Joseph's Story
Thank you Joseph for inspiring us to make a difference in the lives of others every day.
For our son Joseph Noah - who brings life, hugs and love, and complete acceptance to everyone. Joseph you make us smile with your simple heart every moment. Thank you Joseph for the priviledge of being your parents. Adopting you has taught us to cherish every single second the Lord has given us.
Joseph was born in Estonia and raised in an orphanage until 6 years old. At 6 years old Joseph was adopted by a US couple in August of 2006 who determined very quickly that Joseph needed a great deal more than they were able to provide, especially already having a special needs child of their own, and disrupted their adoption. Scott and I were blessed to adopt Joseph from this very warm and generous couple. Joseph became part of our family in March of 2008.
Joseph was born with alcohol exposure. After he came to the US, Joseph was diagnosed with Severe Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Microcephaly, Craniostenosis, Transposition of the Major Vessels, Cognitive Delay, Speech and Language Delays, and Developmental Delay, along with other smaller birth defects, Asthma and Pulmonary Hypertension. He also has short stature and a Growth Hormone Deficiency. Having survived four open heart surgeries and a complicated cardiac history, Joseph has a tenacious spirit.
Joseph is a delightful child who is accepting of everyone.
