There have been so many changes in Liberia, in Acres of Hope, and now 4 months running we are still waiting for a referral. God called us to help waiting children, not to be waiting parents. We have been discerning about whether we need to change.
God wants to use us to help children. Our beautiful and supportive friends have prayed for us, and through them God has shown us that God has so many children to help and so much to do. If God can't use us in one area because of obstacles are beyond our control, then he will use us in another. Why should some children go on waiting? There is much to do, and so we are praying about the path where God is leading us next.
We also recently started a Group on Yahoo for adoptive parents, and are excited about that. We will post more as it gets rolling.
We will certainly post more as we go through this whole process. We appreciate all of your love and prayers.

We adopted from Liberia. The wait can be long, but that is what happens with a third world country. It takes a while to get everything finished. It is all legit and there are lots of waiting kids.

I ran across your blog and just wanted to tell you to stay strong. Because you have ridden the rollercoaster called International Adoption before, you know that nothing is certain. I was lucky to bring home my daughter last year at the age of 3 from China, before all the quotas went into place and if I was in a better financial situation, would definately be jumping on the roller coaster again. Stay strong, your children are waiting for you.
